Cooper, EMT-P, IC
Program Director
Jim is a career firefighter with the Waterford Fire Department
and currently holds the rank of Engineer/Paramedic. He has
been with the Department for 10 years, has been a Paramedic for 11
years, and has been in the EMS field for 16 years. He holds
certifications in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS),
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and is a licensed EMS
Instructor/Coordinator through the State of Michigan.

Ron Valmassoi, EMT-P, IC
Instructor
Ron is a career firefighter with the Waterford Fire Department
and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant/Paramedic. He has
been with the Department for 22 years, has been a Paramedic for
21 years, and has been in the EMS field for 22 years. He
holds certifications in American Heart Association Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), is an American Heart Association and
American Red Cross CPR instructor, an American Red Cross Basic
and Advanced First Aid instructor, is a licensed EMS
Instructor/Coordinator and an EMS Examiner through the
State of Michigan.

Instructor
Steve is a career firefighter with the Waterford Fire Department
and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant/Paramedic. He has
been with the Department for 20 years, has been a Paramedic for
21 years, and has been in the EMS field for 22 years. He
holds a certification in American Heart Association Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and is a licensed EMS
Instructor/Coordinator through the State of Michigan.
